Executive Director of the E-Center Business Incubator

John Joseph IV is Executive Director of The E-Center business incubator, which has has been ranked #1 overall among Alabama business incubators for both the number of companies incubated and graduated. A native of Decatur and Morgan County, John attended the University of Mississippi, where he was elected student body president and named to the University Hall of Fame. He is a national Truman Scholar who has been named a “Mover and Shaper” by the statewide Business Alabama magazine and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he earned his law degree and law license. John is a member of Leadership Alabama and completed the Birmingham Venture Club's Entrepreneur Accelerator Program. He serves as a co-chair of the Entrepreneurship Pillar of Launch, a regional organization promoting joint collaboration between North Alabama counties, as well as various boards including Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, GeneCapture Inc. at Hudson Alpha in Huntsville, and a Nashville company in the healthcare space.  John has written a book, contributed to another, and had his writing included in a national Kauffman Foundation publication. John and his wife, Annah, live in Decatur, Alabama with their two children, a cat, a spoiled puppy, and a chicken.
