GeneCapture hosts international women leaders in STEM

Eight women from around world who work in various science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields toured toured HudsonAlpha through a U.S. Department of State program known as "Hidden No More International Visitor Leadership Program". Program objectives include reviewing advancement of women in scientific research and innovation in America, exploring educational institutions that champion women in STEM, networking with professional counterparts at scientific businesses and agencies, sharing best practices for fostering development of women in STEM, and examining public/private partnerships that accelerate women in STEM.

The women were selected to represent their countries to tour multiple technology sectors in the U.S., and GeneCapture hosted these women for a portion of their time spent in Huntsville, AL. GeneCapture CEO, Peggy Sammon, also gave the participants a tour of GeneCapture to inspire innovation and exploration in the fields of biotechnology and engineering. Participants also toured the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, and downtown Huntsville.
