Paula Millirons is the chief scientist at GeneCapture Inc. in Huntsville and co-inventor of the CAPTURE rapid protocol. CAPTURE is a technology that can be used at clinics, field hospitals and other “points of care” to quickly detect infections. Millirons is also principal investigator on the company’s grants and contracts and leads the clinical assay team’s initiatives in rapid pathogen identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing. Before joining GeneCapture, she developed a successful tutoring business and a chemistry curriculum for the homeschool market.
